Nov 26, 2018 Zoo Tycoon won't play on Windows 7. Basically I have Zoo Tycoon 2 Zookeeper Collection, I have Windows 7 64 bit and the game installs fine, I press play and it turns the colour system to basic then nothing happens, it shows up in Processes in Task Manager but not in Applications. I have checked and increased the maximum memory change, clean booted, will zoo tycoon 2 play on windows 7 The answer is no unfortunately. Only other Zoo Tycoon 2 games will work with any one Zoo Tycoon 2 game. You will need Zoo Tycoon 2 to play any of the expansions.

But personally, I prefer to say that it's because you run a 64 bit OS which is not specifically designed for gaming, and has problems with some games. Since it was most likely built for Windows XP and 7 is compatible with so much software that was built for XP you should be just fine. And if not, go to Zoo Tycoons website and see if they patched to game to allow it to work for Windows 7.
